What would you say you struggle to write most?

For me, it's probably casual movement, like shrugging or leaning back. I can only think of so many, and after a while it starts to feel repetitive, I've been trying to think of more, but it's tough to think of ones people would actually do.

I struggle a lot with keeping a consistent timeline, but also time in general. Sometimes I will have a sentence that's in present tense but then suddenly I reread it later and the characters suddenly switch to past tense even though they're talking about something happening right at that moment. :blob_no:

If it makes you feel better, a relative of mine used to do fanfiction and would switch between past tense, present tense, first person, and third person all in the same paragraph. And at least you're going back and fixing it.

I hate naming things or people.
As a matter of fact, I aim for names of main characters to be 3-5 letters so i have less typing lmao
I get to a new name, and it takes me longer to come up with that than the entire scene.

Edit: last 3 main characters I've named; Stu, Niko, and Guy (Yeah, I worked hard on that one)

Never was good with lengthy descriptions. You'll rarely see me going in depth on every little detail of an object unless I can't help it.

I don't like it because I'm ignorant and have to spend at least half of my writing time looking up everything to make sure its accurate.

Action. I wrote one and I already can tell I'm so newbie about it which is I really am since I just wrote my first book to experiment and train my writing skills.

Also, I'm also newbie with expressing their emotions but I kept trying to train my ability to do so. One of the hurdles is that my vocabulary. I only knew a handful of words and in narrating, I'm so bad at it. Though, I'm already starting to work with it as well.

I have some difficulties on slow scenes and writing on the more descriptive side. I prefer a little faster-paced and snappy writing.

I mean, you could always just Google a random name generator or something, I randomize names until I find one I like.
For me, it's setting descriptions and summaries of books
Yeah, I suck at those, too. I've seen very few people who don't.

Smut scenes. My asexual ass don't know what to be doing besides cut to black. That's actually why half my characters are underage. So I can write romance without the expectation of that. Or if people do expect that I can just tell them "ew she's 15"
"She's legal in some countries!!!" -Your readers, probably.

For me, I hate names in general. Like, even if I made a name, I will forget it.

Like today, I wrote a chapter and introduced a character named Cordom. But later in the chapter, I wrote his name "Cordon", same with another character named "Vanec", and later in the chapter "Vance."

You still see it in Chapter 1 of my story, and you will be amazed by my goldfish memory(Sigh, I have fit it). God, I hate name!:blob_facepalm:

I forgot about summaries; I hate those too.
Always takes me a few tries before I feel alright about it.
Makes me think it might just be better to outsource the summaries to another author or an editor.

Same. Glad I can cover my laziness by comedy. I just couldnt be asked to come up with a fantasy name. So I just called a character John Fight and made a joke out of it. Next I came up with King Adingalong.

But the actual thing I struggle with is movement. I make it more like a script for a scene than proper prose.

I'm with worthy on the comedic value of the king.
