What were the worst things you had done to the kids in your fictions?

I haven't made it official yet, but there was a kids-eating monster in the past and a village nearby it and... well... the villagers were exchanging the kids for protection from the monster.

One of MCs ran into them and got rid of the monster and the village while at it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For my early 20th century aerial dogfighting short story, the underlying plot is that some drunken students raped a poor girl in an ethnic ghetto, so a race riot breaks out and the rapists are beaten to death. The next day a ton of the rioters are hung for execution, and as a result a rebellion and civil war breaks out.

of course I don’t really go into any detail about the event because I’m not that kind of degenerate

Uh oh... This question made me think...
Borderline slavery. Implied (not described) trafficking. Killing them and their families. At the end of book 1, a city was razed. It was a bloody endeavour, and iirc I didn't shy away from describing children dying.
A bunch of them are now refugees. A war started, and that's a thing that ruins more lives.
Oh, then there was that time when sons had to carry their unconscious father. The mother had knocked him out as he resisted the idea of doing something morally wrong.
Oh, then there was that character who gave two children something that would very likely kill them by corruption. Haven't gotten to that part in the story.

There was probably more, which I forget...
Huh.
That's kind of bleak. I didn't think my work was that dark.

Oh well,

Sadly I'm saving the worst thing for the end, so I guess so far the worst thing I've done was put my MC in a coma for 2 years.

Hmmm let me count the ways.

Well in one of my stories MC is a villain who sleeps with adult women while underage, uses a young boy's life as leverage to steal their mother's soul and also groomed underage girls.

In another MC is underage at the start of the story and gets emotionally tortured and gets groomed both into a toxic half parental half romantic relationship with an older woman and also into being ok with death, gore, and killing.

In another of mine MC is underage(16 so saying kid is kind of pushing it) when he gets killed and is turned into a supernatural monster.

In another story MC experienced childhood physical abuse and neglect by a parent from a young age.

my protagonist is still a child ^-^
so far I've thrown her down two rivers, experience bullying, put her in a mildly abusive orphanage, had her fight giant worms with wiolence (worm violence), oh yeah and a giant mantis tried to eat her

I wrote this a while back, but for context, this character was the literal embodiment of hate in that story:

She turned her head sideways and found a family hiding in a dark alley. Her eyes betrayed such coldness that the parents were frozen in fear instantly. She slowly approached them with graceful steps and once she was close enough, she whispered something into the ear of the father, and then she moved on to whisper something into the ear of the mother.

At once, they were overcome with severe hatred, and they started killing each other in front of their child. The little girl was holding a teddy bear and quaking visibly. She looked like she was about to scream, and her tears were about to burst out of her eyes.

She wanted to scream, but Samantha put one finger on her lips, caressed her face, and gave her a flower. The girl ran away crying, but Samantha stood there, relishing the taste of the suffering she had just caused.

Killing children in front of their parents.
Ripping out one's jaw to let him bleed to death.
Forcing siblings to kill each other in order to survive, then kill the survivor.
Lobotomize a boy before unleashing him on their friends.
Make them watch their entire village being burned alive.
Forcing a young girl to watch her father being crucified by a robot.
R-word rhymes with grape.
Skinning them for fun.
Feeding them to an eldritch entity.
Executing children for the crime of existing.
Feeding children blood in the name of research.
Making twins eat their parents disguised as fine dining.

There are more in my old phone, these are the things I wrote down but some in novels I scrapped.
