I just noticed it disappeared from my reading list and I don't remember who the author was so I can't DM them to ask about it. Anybody remember who the author was or know what happened to the story?

Looks like the author deleted their book, happens all the time in scribblehub when authors have depression and/or aren't good at taking criticism.
See?? This is why you always have to praise and comment in the books you like, some Authors can be very delicate creatures that need constant praise to feel like what they're writing is not garbage. If you were a silent reader then you dont have the right to complain that the book is now gone.

You got a lot of pent up anger in there.

I'm fine I just feel sad for authors that delete their books. Not everyone just does that out of nowhere, I've seen it happening more than one time.
Are you one of those? Just to be safe, YoursTruly, the Ancestor of Ducks likes your books.

No I'm not, usually there's a good balance between people that comment nice things and others that are just haters. But it's fairly common for readers to only comment when they have something to complain about instead than when they like something.
