I haven't written much poetry yet but I plan to maybe occasionally post some on here in the future. Same for the short stories. I have some ideas so maybe its time to polish them off and throw them out to the wind.

I know I'll tag it as poems and short stories respectively for the collections. I am also planning to tag it with collections of short stories for the short stories one. But, the thing is, they may not exactly follow a specific genre theme. It could range from fluffy romance and comedic to tragedy and dark.

Judging from forums, it seems some may be upset if the works are tagged in the wrong genre. However, in this case, since the genres could vary a lot within one collection, would it be alright to tag it in several of those specific genres I'll probably write at least a few sections in?

And I remember not using tags if that specific tag is only mentioned briefly. However, if it the tag is in a lot of individual chs (separate poems/short stories), or there's one long lengthy short story on that tag, then it'll be alright to tag it as such right?

I think it’s alright to go about tagging it with the tags you use or plan on using

How do you go about skirting past people who may get upset?

Put a notice at the end of your synopsis saying something like: “The tags reflect the varied nature of the poems and/or short stories I will be posting.”

Then you can proceed to ignore anybody that gets upset at the tags because, frankly, then it’s on them for not reading the synopsis.

Meh, it's an anthology. Just use whichever tags apply to any of the entries in the anthology. In Ai-chan's case, Ai-chan plan on adding tags as they apply whenever a new story in the anthology is published. If readers take offense at that, well, though luck. It's an anthology. That being said, you do need a unifying theme shared among the entirety of entries of the anthologies. Otherwise, it'd probably be best to make separate entries instead of an anthology.
