So what do you all do when you are so overwhelemed with emotions, you want to rip apart your chest? Hard to explain properly, but I'm not talking about being overwhelemd with anger\sadness and emotions adjacent to those two. It's more of the moment when you can't focus on a single thought for more than a second. You don't know where to put your hands; you want to cry one second, the next second you want to scream, and then you want to smile. Do you get what I mean? What do you do during times you feel like that?

As someone who had to deal with Experian Customer Service today, I think I understand this feeling right now.

Try controlling your breathing and focus on how great God is.

Usually if you’re at the tipping point you won’t be self-conscious about where you’re holding your hands. It would just be instinct based of praying, holding your pounding chest, or another unrelated matter. You will simply do whatever that’s stupid enough to calm you down.

I’ve punched a wall before. It wasn’t cool and hurt, but it calmed me down enough to regain my composure. I’ve also felt so sad that it felt like I’d stop breathing. Time ends up washing away my emotions until those memories feel like nothing. I end up more hollow by the end of it.

well, life is like that. You either continue living or you spend more time moping. Either one won’t really matter since it will fade eventually. Leaving you with only a memory.

This, to me, looks an awful lot like the beginning of an anxious episode or a panic attack (as someone who suffers from it). If you can, it would be great to have a therapist who will give you emergency medication to calm you down. If you can't, however, you can always try an activity that will 'numb' your brain. Like a shitty game (the Sims or Bloon Tower Defense works for me), or a physical activity (going for a run, dancing in your living room without caring about what you look like, doing a karaoke at home where you can sing all your feelings out, etc...)

If I feel too bad to even move, simple exercises like touching all you fingers one by one with your thumb can also help

I have in depth philosophical conversations with inanimate objects.

The toaster is quite philosphical, though sometimes it can get really heated. Some of the things I say really burn it up and then I feel worse. Computers are much better conversationalists. I talk to the toilet as well, because it is very patient and receptive. Never talk to knives, too edgy. Never talk to vacuum cleaners, they suck at it. Dont talk to the ice box, it's cold. But your bed is always there to comfort you.

Have you ever asked a pencil for life advice? Sometimes it's just the write thing to do.
