The vast majority of games can be improved by editing out all the busy-work. Unless that busy-work is relaxing.

Trackmania: Watching people break records, do cool tricks or build cool tracks is far more fun than playing for me. Following Deep Dip 2 also consumed too many hours of my life!

Games that have primarily story elements are more fun to watch people play. Like seeing someone do a long play of what remains of edith finch and seeing their reaction to all the feels. Watching someone play stanley parable is also fun to watch.

Games like MMOs though, I think those are better to play yourself. If the gameplay has a high level of complexity then watching it can't be appreciated by someone who hasn't gotten familiar themselves.
