Rookieqw, you are an idiot. You've set yourself what you think are realistic goals to achieve in a year, but the answer is that it's simply not enough to be diligent and write complete the novels. If your story is bad, if you overexplain stuff too much, then obviously no one is going to read it, finished or not.

You had a foolish belief that you could build a community, because even despicable people who deceive their audience and have been ousted as the worst sort of persons remain relevant, and people talk of them and about their works. And since you never planned to profit from your novels and you don't commit bad things, you thought that success was guaranteed and you wouldn't be alone or unhappy anymore. But you are missing one crucial point. These people? They're clever or creative or both. You are neither. You are so dumb that you have never made any friends. What makes you think you can ever produce anything of value?

Like, look at this from a practical standpoint. It took you six hours to write a 4000+ word chapter. Then you edited it for two to three hours. And the result? Zero comments, because the writing is bad. You work at a snail's pace and don't have the faintest idea how to string words correctly, you dolt.

You keep hearing how readers tell other authors about flaws in their works, and you are constantly surprised that it never happens to you, unless you ask someone for their opinion. But the answer is obvious. The opposite of love is apathy; your writing doesn't inspire emotion; it breeds boredom because you're boring and stupid and untalented and uncreative. That is why you will never gain fans or build an audience, and you will never have a reason to write for anyone but yourself. You are a loser, and you have only yourself to blame for not having the qualities to succeed, no matter how many times you try.

Phew, I needed to get this out of my system. Back to writing.

Fifteen years of writing and more than a dozen books, and nobody even knows who I am. Meanwhile, Sarah J Maas continues to be a colossal bestseller.

It's not what you know, it's who you know.

She is to fantasy what Stephanie Meyer was to romance.
So she writes vampire porn that sells millions of copies and claims it's Fantasy?
If so, glad I don't know who she is (and a little less unhappy that all the bookstores in the area are gone).

Replace "vampire" with "fae" and you've pretty much got it, right down to glorifying toxic and abusive relationships.

My new story is slow growth, but it's my own fault for trolling the synopsis and having questionable tags.
