So, In my main story, I have this little side drama going on that isn't necessarily stated but is hinted at never outright stated. The drama goes like this: There are two vampires from the 1500s who are happily married and are each other's true understanders. Both work for the Table, a supernatural peacekeeping organization, and are required to do certain tasks. The husband, while on one of these missions is out of blood for himself and requests the Table to send some blood. Overhearing this, a Fae wanting to start something nasty decides to convince him that she is a human who was sent to offer her blood due to a lack of blood bags. He drinks her blood and this is where things get weird. When a person is in love with a vampire (or vise versa depending on the legend) and has their blood sucked by said vampire, they become their thrall. However, if someone eats of Fae food offered to them then they belong to said Fae. Thus, by a weird set of circumstances gets a second marriage. His first wife is obviously pissed about this and the marriage can't be annulled.
Should I make this an entire subplot, write a separate story about it, or just keep leaving more and more hints?
