That's kind of reckless and bold, but still... you can't just expose yourself in such an obvious way people can see. This is one one-tracked mind trollI have met only 1 person so far stupid or brave enough to pack their 1-star stories into their reading list. You don't do that.
No, he wasn't. He was actually a nice guy when I asked him and increased the rating to 3 as he used 1 stars just to mark stories he dropped. That's kind of reckless and bold, but still... you can't just expose yourself in such an obvious way people can see. This is one one-tracked mind troll

Only a troll can defeat another trollI'm curious how often do you guys end up with trolls on this site, and posting stuff in your stories?
And what's the best way to deal with them?
@K5Rakitan would like to have a word with you.weirdly, I have only seen people complain about one stars, but there is yet anyone complain about 5 stars,
I personally don't believe in rating something a 1-star unless it is absolutely abysmal. Like hardly any effort put into it, no editing pass and nonsensical. But just because a story isn't my cup of tea doesn't mean it is terrible. But some people do like to give a 1 or 5 with no in between.
I find that this site is a lot nicer with ratings and comments so far compared to others I've been on.
I do notice that writers on trending sometimes get hit pretty fast with some 1-stars, but I guess that comes with more exposure. I've been on trending on this site and one other, and I can say that this one was much kinder to me compared to the other one. The constructive criticism over here as a whole also feels better. Much more tact and consideration from the readers so far.
I am actually really enjoying this site a lot. I don't have many ratings, but most of them I seem to have received when the story was well on its way. Of course, there are some people who will blindly give a 1-star or a 5-star after the first chapter. Just how it is.
Yeah, I just ignore trolls at this point. I have yet to find someone who was genuinely mean. If that ends up happening, I guess best thing to do is report it.
Don't be mean to catgirls!
I can't imagine myself revenge-rating something 1 star because it doesn't update enough. If I try to imagine myself giving a 1* out of spite, it's probably because I just don't like the genre or how a person writes.Do you think some of those 1 star revenge things are caused by not updating fast enough?
Oh man I made this argument and people were livid. If you complain about unjustified one-stars, then I want to see people whining when someone has too many undeserved 5 stars. Cuz I'mma be honest, some of the people I've seen make threads about 1-stars, to me were shit writers. And I don't mean genre-wise, I mean they were a mess in skill with what I read. They had mostly 5-star ratings and they didn't deserve them any more than Tokyo deserves to get wrecked by Godzilla every time he shows up.weirdly, I have only seen people complain about one stars, but there is yet anyone complain about 5 stars, even when several users openly admits, they 5 stars novels as soon as they like it.... is that binary level assessment a good thing?
sometimes i wonder, is a blind 5 star, as fake as a blind 1 star? or are they different...
I swear I didn't even know you had commented this and I still magically found myself here. Crazy.Don't discuss the difference between 1 star trolls and 5 star trolls too much or Discount_Blade is going to come terminate us.
