I’m not going to rely on the generous donations of others, I work for the money I make. LOL $1800 a month and you think that’s enough for anything? You must be deluded about how many expenses a disabled debt ridden mother has that I’ve got to cover for.Nonsense.
You haven't made a gofundme, or saved up for a professional caretaker to help her while you go off to shoot people who hold no ill intent towards you specifically. As a soldier in the US, you'd make $1833 a month at E1 (private) alone, more than enough to get hired assistance with insurance, and as your rank grew, your capacity to help your loved ones even if you were away would grow as well. IIRC, she'd be more than well taken care of off a life insurance policy offered by the military if you died.
If you wanted to, you could.
I don't know about now, but at one time you couldn't enlist into the Marines or Army if you had a past criminal record. Anything more than misdemeanors disqualified you. Only the Airforce had no such qualifications and I'm not inclined to that branch personally. I wanted to try for the Army Rangers but was turned away at the recruiter's office. Getting into a university for me was hell, the amount of paperwork was awful and I was still placed on academic probation for my entire first 2 years just because....well because I guess. Even then, I was lucky to get in as half the council board who were reviewing me, clearly wanted nothing to do with me.Nonsense.

Ikr. What is wrong with me? XDLast words said before disaster.
Do not test me. My entire family served in the military, the only reason I didn't get peer pressured into it is due to medical complications of my own.I’m not going to rely on the generous donations of others, I work for the money I make. $4,000 a month or more is what the expenses are like needed to cover everything to take care of her. There’s also tons of taxes added onto that.

Actually doesn't sound bad. They are pretty expensive, so clearly I've taken in a brand new source of cash flow.Discount is going to owning a fursuit by the end of the year.
I don’t live in the US to begin with. Your experience with the military is completely different and does not translate. You’re literally comparing apples to oranges here. You assume every country is the same as the US.Do not test me. My entire family served in the military, the only reason I didn't get peer pressured into it is due to medical complications of my own.
When you join up, you'll talk to your recruiter about the EFMP (Exceptional Family Member Program) which will coordinate with whatever healthcare benefits your mother will get for being a military dependent. You'll be selling your body to Uncle Sam, and he wants to make sure you have no reason not to scream hooah when the time comes.
The number of programs available for service members is actually quite absurd, it's just that you need to know they exist, and you have to open your mouth early to get them. In this case, you wouldn't even be relying on the generous donations of others, you'd be taking advantage of the benefits offered to those who wear the uniform.
That's actually a pretty wicked name. I approve.Firefang Shatterstar
Almost a wicked as my band name,That's actually a pretty wicked name. I approve.
I didn't mean to assume you were from the US, but most users I've met are from the states. In any case, many 1st world countries have similar programs though. Have you looked? Have you asked around? Have you made a concerted effort to get the money you need to take care of your family or sought to coordinate a deal with the whatever force you'll be joining?I don’t live in the US to begin with. I lost my shit and bust out laughing!! Makes a perfect Metal band name.Crystal Dragon Jesus.
Even if the military offered benefits, I still would not accept them let alone trust them to take care of my mother. Doing so is giving them leverage over me, something I will not allow them to hold over my head. Nursing homes also do pretty fucked up things many of which I saw done to my grandfather as his health declined as a child until he inevitably passed away. I also rather rely on myself, not the government and free handouts for every little thing in life. My mother raised me through untold hardships you can’t even begin to imagine, thus, it’s my responsibility to properly take care of her in return at least until she dies.I don't, but most users I've met are from the states, many 1st world countries have similar programs though.
