Hello, I am Riceball and I am a new author on the platform. It's to meet you all <3. Just like the rest of you, I am concerned about the rise of serial one-star raters who have swept havoc across our community and I believe that we should work together to overcome this concern. My solution is that our community comes close together in a "Fellowship" of sorts.

You might be asking yourself, "What do I mean by this?"

To answer, I believe that we authors with a common interest in telling the same sort of compelling stories and themes should form a group where they can routinely discuss novels their own (the group's) and that of others. I believe that if we came closer together by forming a Fellowship, we should use that opportunity to improve on our writing through increased honest ratings of our stories and honest criticism.

That's not to say that readers are inherently dishonest readers and there is always the fact of indvidiual preferences but I believe that different perspectives and ideas are only means to improve one's prowess as an author and as an individual.

If you would like to join the Fellowship, then you can do regardless if you are not an author or not. If you want to join the group, then please tell me. Thanks! <3

You should turn this fellowship into some sort of forum or something.
This forum is insufficient in what I have planned and it's not really that personal or constructive. I believe that authors best improve as writers when they are around people they know best informally. Rather than just introverted strangers on the internet, I think that it would be best if we huddled up close, became friends and deeply discussed our stories.

to illustrate my point, when you are making jokes with friends and talking to them, your responses are more fun, interesting and intellectual as you are putting more effort into them and you don't have to show as much restraint when compared to that of a stranger.

Wait, are you the one giving everyone One star @RiceballWasTaken?

:blobrofl::blobrofl::blobrofl:

Edit
Obviously, this is a joke,

Because coincidently all the one stars only have you as the reader, that's why it is funny.

It's no a rise. Serial one-star raters plagued SH for eternity. Mostly bots I think?

As for your idea, I hope someone will join you and you all are going to have a blast writing and discussing it.
