I write litRPG, but I have been scaling back more and more on the crunchiness.
Today? my usual character sheet:
Roisin Gabrielle Reynard
Gremlin (tin-rank)
Rift Sentinel
Spiritualism (Journeyman)
dominate node
improved assemble
advanced swarm
improved repair
cure
Forces (Adept)
cross-discipline sorcery
energy expansion
force screen
infuse
environmental modification
modify rift
It says exactly what I need to get across to the reader, no more, no less, no wordcount padding. Everything else can be handled just fine by writing. I used to do these massive charts with multiple levels, and then I started to only show those between chapters, and then only a couple of times per book, and then more and more I realized that 'show don't tell' still works fine in litRPG.
