When you open a chapter with a quote or excerpt from a book, but the book not a real book, and might be real in the world of the story.

It's like faux-something or pseudo-something?

Is it a technique or just what the paragraph is called?

I don't remember....

Fake-tro? Faux logue?

I forgorrrr

Some novels have a bit like this

The part "The Book of Brin" is not a real book.

It's a book within the world of the novel. What is adding that called? or What is it called?

Shouldn't it be technically called a prograph? An epigraph would be a short quote at the end of a chapter, right?
It could also be an epigram, if it's a literal quote.
and Program just wouldn't work :)
