And I'm a bit paranoid to buy something online

.
I understand the fear, but honestly I've had more issues with my regular bank than with PayPal. And by that, I mean I've had zero issues with PayPal and have been using them for over ten years.
And by more issues with my regular bank, I mean there was only one time when I had to call the bank over some gas station charges on my card that I definitely didn't make since I don't drive. It turned out that it was an error and not identify theft, and they fixed it for me right away.
More recently, my regular bank sent me a card with my maiden name on it even though Husband and I went in there in person two years ago to set up a joint account and present all the necessary documents to get my name changed in their records. I called them on the phone to correct the matter, and they sent me a new card with my married name on it right away.
I got over my paranoia about buying stuff online pretty early since I was going through university, and buying used textbooks online was way less expensive than buying used textbooks in person at the university bookstore. Also, since I don't drive, having whatever I want at my fingertips is amazing. On rare occasions, the stuff doesn't arrive, but that's when you go into eBay and find the item and use their drop-down menu for "I didn't receive my item" and that always leads to a full refund.
Why am I such a proponent of online shopping? It's better for the environment to have a few delivery trucks dropping off packages than each individual person getting in a car to go to a store to pick up those items. I'll walk to a store when it's something I can get locally, but overall the internet is amazing.
