Well, I don't think I have come across a dungeon appearing in a sci-fi world. That would certainly be an interesting read. Although that would be hard to make work since if I was in a sci-fi world and monsters kept coming out of a cave I would just nuke the cave.

My first thought with a scifi dungeon core would be a space ship that builds fighter ship 'monsters' or biological golems/cyborgs as crew. Then just flies around gathering resources and stuff.
Or just a hivemind, I guess.

There is a (bad) movie, I think called "Time Riders," or something like that, where a guy winds up his own grandfather. But that was time travel, not reincarnation.

Think about it, all the MCs get cheat, or knew a lot of things to help them. Now imagine a school kid reincarnated without powers. They would not be highly advanced.
Also, one of those oteme game reincarnations where instead of the MC reincarnating into a game they played, it turns out they have never played the game and don't know anything about it.

2. What form do you believe hasn't been done yet.

I've seen humans from the modern world get isekaid into a fantasy world and turn villanous, I'd like to see more fantasy beings get isekaid to the modern world and be villanous. Not a gate transporting an entire army of monsters but rather something like a Vampire, magical dark elf, slime, or mindflayer.

Its probably been done, but I'd like to see a Sherlock Holmes-type character get isekai'd. Too many naive idiots; let's get more people with brains rather than solely brawn and plot armor, maybe a journey that involves investigation rather than constant combat.

my TOP 2 fav : Strongest husband in history
99% similar to The Greatest Estate Developer (manhwa). There is a manhua adap named "Survive as hero husband" BUT DONT READ IT. ITS UGLY AS HECK. The kind that spit on its original material.
Anyway, think of it, like a RI tamer version (meaning: MC will do any MEANS possible and dont give a f to anyone beside loved ones, like bombing, poisoning, nuking and plague, oh and even once assassinated someone with STDs). MC is the sole MC in the whole novel industry to only rely on his brain from begin to end to win, and never get "OP" fighting strength. Even a goose or a common soldier could beat him 1v1. Main waifu, is as kind like Doupo Cangqiong FL, but is more like Raikou of FGO, in term of demanor/looks/snake-suit-armor (minus the big boobs), in fact, even more similar for long legs later on bc of "something". And one heroine is fking pirate queen like Miss Fortune / same looks like the queen in Estate manhwa. She use 2 blades she rotates around like a helicopter, turning into a mind grinder LITERARILLY.
MC doesnt give a f to human species.
and knows the ugliness and truth of it.
and the sole MC i ever read that guess enemy moves' 4 steps ahead.

I've only read the Strongest Husband in History one since there were a lot of comments that they shouldn't have made a manhua adaptation if they're not gonna put effort into it.
Additionally, there are a lot of Normal Human -> Normal Human (and stays human) reincarnation where the MC is female but those rarely go past 300 chapters, and those that go past that number usually reaches 2k chapters lmao. It's really a hit or miss for these kind of stories tbh since it's mostly drama.

Its like asking : How the heck, someone could change from : A old man (mc that lived until old age) that experienced the cold, cruel and lying shitty nature of human heart, that even when saving innumerable lives to the point of getting a peace nobel prize, and dying protecting its patient in warzone camp. With His whole life and whole actions, all FOR THE GOAL of getting a "wife".
to
just a playboy disfigured, becoming surgeon and dying in a fking bomb in warzone camp.

Also the heroine is good on cover kinda 18/20, but inside its 13/20.
But thing is, she should be on-par with Doupo Cangqiong "Young lady" vibes 20/20 and a cold, silent but warm heart young lady, using [snake-scale-suit-armor] that show "curves" (hence the ressemblance mentioned to [Raikou] of FGO).

MC looks like a buffon comedy MC. One piece style. With exaggerated reaction faces.
When he should be like MC of Great Estate.
Meaning : a joking mask (exterior), but a very fragile inside.

The worse, is that MC NUKED, POISONED, CUT [BALLS] x multiples, NUKED AGAIN (why not)

, AND RELEASED BLACK PLAGUE once CITIES, and even pushed down (bad) civilian in SHIT PIT (while thinking 90% of them wont survive from the infections/germs). He even had WALL PAINTED IN BLOOD of each names of his enemies in the mansion of FL. He had ladder and big brush included !
But now dude is like a looney toon in manhua.

His ruthless means and IQ (and a sentence he once said : [I will burn the world to follow suit if my wife die]) show that this man is 1mm close to madness, with "family" (goal) the sole and unique remaining thing, stopping him of "snapping" and becoming a full fledged psycho like Reverend Insanity's MC. And that his "joking/playboy" exterior is just a fake "mask" to lower his importance to his enemies and underestimate "him".
But if someone read more and more, its not explicitly said but reader feel that MC isnt simply a cold crazy man. But that in fact, he is just the same "kid" that was disfigured in the lab accident, with a fragile and kind heart. Forced/turned to be ruthless and evil by the shitty disappointing world (pastlife-current). That sure he became ruthless, but his exterior is only to "protect" his "heart". (like Estate manhwa but more serious. Heck if it should deserve as much popularity and maybe more, as it with how many similitudes i saw in recent chaps of it)
Once small very very rare reveal hint, mentioned this logic : that he act like a playboy hence scaring the ladies, but if a "lady" came close to him despite that, he would try to run. (also he never used a brothel despite not hesitating to "half-incognito rape" the arrogant princess that wounded FL). Another minor hint is the fact, he kept this "stupid-kind big brother" with him when he could have discarded him as he had no values early on.

ps : I love the fact there is the old trope "aphrodisiac" for pirate queen FL3. But with a twist : she reverse-raped MC. YEP, reverse-rape. MC even begged for mercy / near died. And as she is emotionless / goddess-like, she didnt care at all after the "deed". Unlike all this chinese FLs that usually become angry.

pps : Its also the first novel i ever read mentioning a original idea : QI isnt omnipotent and has flaws
(without it, the fighter is like a empty car, hence cant never win VS armies. That is why they never are the main controlling force in the world)
that and it used the jp-trope of : ancient dead civilisation (ty for the nukes btw haha)

I was thinking more a frustrated writer of webnovels in general, who winds up spending more time on the discussion boards than actually writing... :D

On a more serious note - the one that I have not seen is one that I have started working on but haven't gotten to the point where I can share yet: Transmigrated into a "Spaghetti Western."
