You were reading a Level System-style web novel the next moment you died from sudden death ...

And a dark cloud appears in front of you within a white void.

"Human of earth you are in luck, The great I has chosen you to test my abilities" God of death

While the cloud speaks, You cannot move or speak.

"You will have the honor of reincarnating as one of my apostles in the world you were reading about. Now choose one of my blessing, human of earth" God of death

1. Necromancy. The power to raise and control unlimited numbers of dead beings with the 90% of your stats each one, at the cost of having all your skin always in a rotten state (only in appearance).
2. Denial of death. Go back a day from the moment of your death (retains your level and skills).
3. Auto revival. Full recovery one day after, no matter the state of your body (loses half of your level and skills each time).
4. Ultimate Vampirism. Perfect and endless regeneration, can't go under the light of the sun and needs to steal human lifeforce every week to exist.

“Denial of death” would take a lot of willpower but it would be the strongest since you keep your stats.

imagine you find some rare elixir, you could get the treasure then die - waking up a day before where the treasure still exists but you’ve gotten the stat bonus. Rinse and repeat, again, that’s a LOT easier said than done, but it would be super OP.

hmmm, if there is no way to fix necromancy, then no need for it.
denial of death, seem pretty useful, can cause a lot of pain.
auto revival is just too hard, with a lot of danger if you are caught.
then come ultimate vampirism, wich is clearly the best choice, if you want to become the strongest.

but here is the thing, only idiots, and chuunis, would think about fighting epic battle in a new world, and so if you don't want to be the strongest here, then denial of death can be the most safe options. there is no ugly face like necromancy, no possibility of your secret geeting exposed like auto revival, nor a holy crusade following you like ultimate vampirism, so yeah, I would choose denial of death

Denial of death can also be exposed, and once it is you have to be really careful. Or you pull a SSS Class Suicide Hunter and keep killing yourself to go back in time.

Reincarnated Swordmaster did that.

Though it is a diminishing return.

The KR novel sucks.

...I knew someone would reference it.

I will try and be fair to judge:

1. 90% of my stats is useless at my infancy stage aka when I am just a noob unless I can do stats steal, you might be tempted with zerg rush though, bloody go to a mass grave like the Great Wall of China or the Catacomb in France and unleash hell in the populace to gain more levels hence more stats and more undeads and infinity grind. Until someone starts to drop suns on you.

2. The two above had already quoted it. This is a very broken skill with the ability to keep all my earned stats and levels, meaning that I can grind myself to the level and stats cap, suicide myself to a young age and go change my past.

3. Lol the loss by half is a joke cuz it hurts a lot more when you are at higher level, but at least it is more normal than no. 2.

4. Vampirism is too limited and not OP enough for me to choose it, where is my ability to make slaves? Where is my telepathy and mind control? Where is my ability to go bat mode?

I would probably pick the first one. Since the end game for necromancy for most fantasy settings are liches and has a phylactery to revive with. I rather been boned then have rotton skin.

4. Don't wanna have rotten skin but still be capable of destructive force. If all the vampire movies and underworld have showed anything.

You can picked #1 and fuck out the hell out of those you killed you know. It would be better if they're forced into servitude but their minds is still there.

Necromancy, because, if I become good enough, I could have all of the other abilities.

You should give vampire more perks. You should also change denial to something soft and bendable like Re; Zero, or they could quickly kill themselves many times over to go back in time unlimitedly. Necromancy is OP if you hold yourself up somewhere, power level, and raise an army, or do it in a secret cave somewhere. Also I choose Auto revive if soul and mind magic exists (necromancy so I assume atleast soul magic). Then even though I’m immortal, I can erase my memory instead of killing myself.
I also don’t want to be stuck in a time loop and go mad while also dooming the world to be stuck eternally, or have to traumatically choose between one of my close friends / family / lover. I basically just chose standard, but unique immortality.

Denial of death is just to op compared to the others. infinite lives with prior knowledge of the next day is just too good compared to everything else since it doesn't limit you in any way, it just gives advantages the only case in wich its bad is if you get captured and tortured for an extended period of time with no way out, then you are facked.
Auto revival is just a way weaker version of Denial of death, sure skipping a day might be easier then a retry in some circumstances but with infinite try you are bound to succede eventually in almost all situation, if you remove the level and skill lost its just as good, it carries different benefits but its an even competition.
as far as necromancy goes its really strong later on but there is notting to say that you cant chose a necromancer class with Denial of death, it will be weaker for sure but you also get infinite chance to success, and the rotten skin make you stand out too much early on.
Vampirism is just week, everyone can beat you just by outplaying you, sure is strong but only as long as your weakness isn't exposed, and you might screwed by circumstances anyway so by far the worst choice on the power scale, if you want to be a vampire then pick it but its just weak compared to the others

Denial of death. Its like immortality but you can also enjoy the moments of life however long you want by suiciding off

Denial of death seems like the best bet for building my harem. If I make a mistake, I die on purpose and do Groundhog Day until I capture the heart of my target or give up and move on to a different one.

1. Necromancy is inferior to practically any other type of magic, and it draws too much suspicion or hatred towards yourself.
2. It would be impossible to fuck this up as long as you stay on your toes and kill yourself the moment it looks like you'll be captured or incapacitated.
3. This is far worse than 2, because you can be spawn-camped. If there's a way to avoid that, like spawning on sacred ground or something, then it may actually be better. Otherwise, prepare for an eternity of being tortured to death over and over again.
4. Sunlight weakness is... manageable. Eating people is not.

Frankly, I think the subtext for 2 and 3 should be switched. You lose any stats or growth you gained when you reset with 2, you lose nothing when you respawn with 3. In terms of balance, at least.
