Person A marries person B. Person B dies. Person A creates a clone of Person B with their memories and personalities.

The clone think they are Person B. They don't know the original Person B is already dead and they are a clone.

Does this count as NTR?

If you take away the timey whimey stuff, that makes the question a little clearer. The question would become, "Is it possible to cheat on someone with themselves?" and the answer is... Yes. Cheating is a betrayal, so if someone was or felt betrayed, it's cheating.

For it not to be cheating, all four(the time traveler, their wife, and their younger selves) people would need to be aware and consent to the arrangement.

Though some people could be removed and make it not cheating. For instance, the wife Person B dies before the time traveler Person A goes back in time, meaning only the time traveler Person A and the two younger selves clone(Person C) need to consent. If the two younger selves aren't dating/married yet, then the younger version of the time traveler has no say in the matter.

Oddly, the situation I thought of when reading this... Let's call them Alice and Bob. Bob goes back in time, and young Alice gets pregnant. Old Bob then disappears, for some reason, and Young Bob steps in to help Young Alice raise the kid, thus creating a... Let's call it self-fulfilling prophecy. Vaguely Like this.

Thanks guys! So all I have to do to make it NTR is to make Person B still alive?

How about this? Person A marries Person B. The marriage was an arranged one, but Person A loves Person B. Person A is a cold, emotionally stunted person. He doesn't know how to express his love to Person B.

Person B loves Person A but she is a Tsundere. She acts like she hates Person A and is always mean to him.

One day, Person B asks for a divorce to know how Person A will reacts. She doesn't mean it it, of course. But Person A says "Okay." And the divorce happens.

Person A marries someone who looks like a carbon copy of Person B, but without the Tsundere part.

The person A is still with the person B,
But person B simply didn't realize she has died.

It's not cheating. It's simply lying to your partner about their living status.

It's like in God Of War Ragnarok.
Brok is dead, but Sindri bring him back from the dead albeit missing some part of his soul.

Brok, who has been raised from the dead with an incomplete soul didn't know he already died, and he never knew the real brok is dead since sindri never told him.

So I should just make Person B catches Person A becomes intimate with Person B lookalike/clone then without the break up. Noted.
yes. That would be ntr. Especially with the lookalike would definitely be ntr

Err...as others have said before, NTR relies on the feelings of betrayal to be effective.

If Person A is cold, emotionally-stunted person, then the readers won't 'relate' to him. If the cheating happens, then there's no emotional investment to make the NTR part effective.

I think the readers would even say "Person B deserves much better", and so turns Person A a villain in this case.

No? It's literally reviving that person in another body. Even if the original is dead, the copy has the original's memories and personality, it's basically grabbing their mind and pulling it into another body.
I don't see the complications. Take Arifureta for example. Would you say Valkyrie Kaori is a clon of the original Kaori? I don't think so.

To answer your question, more than NTR, it's simply resurrection in a different body..

You just give me an idea. What if the OG Person B is resurrected and sees Person A likes the clone Person B better because the clone has no negative traits of the OG?

Uuuuuh... That sounds like an excellent plot.

Here's a crazy idea that just flew to me. Why not have OG person B make a Clon of person A and have them date? And then have OG person A see them, and get jealous.
And end it all in a crazy foursome.
Ok, no. I mean, have both OGs date and their clones date as well
