The disadvantage is everyone would compare it to One Piece or Pirates of the Carribean, which is rather unfair. The advantage is pirates have universal appeal and if you have a unique angle people will appreciate it. I've been reading your work and am sure it will be well executed, so that is not a problem.

I think such a work could be well recieved on Scribble hubs.
