I think it would be nice if authors could pin their favorite comment or pin their own comment.

This is a cool feature that I had thought would have already been implemented. Not a must but is fun too use for authors

you can pin reader comments, or your own.

Edit: unless I'm still misunderstanding this, you can pin either your own author comment or a reader, or I can at least when I look at a reader comment on my story.

@deltanz is right. You can already do that with comments.
