I feel like I’m seeing a lot of fan translations of chinese or korean webnovels on here where the poster doesn’t mention the original source/author or mention it’s a translation anywhere. I don’t know if I’m making a deal out of nothing cause maybe it’s blatantly obvious to everyone these are translations but it kinda bugs me since no credit was given and it’s not mentioned I’m reading a translation which feels disingenuous.

I know right! Some translations are cool, fun to read stuff i woudent have found otherwise, even if this isent realy the place id look fot such, but credit is(or should be) where credit is due, and not giving credit to the original is disrespectfull... plus, this website is where i go to read original works that keep getting updated every now and then, translated and copied completed storys and such i would expect in webnovel or one of those copy paste website everyone knows and no one likes even if you read there...

Btw sorry for the rant >-<

I've only been here a few days but I've noticed that. Moreover, one contributor does appear to cite the original author's name: 文抄公
Seemed a plausible enough name until I fed it into Google Translate (I don't speak Chinese).
Answer: "Plagiarist"!

I hope something is eventually done by the site, I left a comment on one mentioning origin and that poster should include it in the synopsis and my comment was straight up deleted soon after. Or I’m just ignored In some cases with I think one case being the exception.

Don't comment; Report. The option is in the novel's stats near the bottom of the main page. At the very least, the novel will be hidden from searches and the front page once its clear that it's a translation. You may need to offer proof that it's a translation first, though.

No sarcasm, no messin' - just being curious. And I don't know what a r/woosh is, but I'm sure they're pleasant enough! :s_wink:
