If you were in the "worm" universe, you'd probably have parahuman powers! You're all traumatized lil beans, and it's time you admit it!

Well, I always have been of the opinion that Thinkers are the most underestimated and yet secretly super OP powers in the Worm universe. So, yeah.

Now I just need to get a Tinker friend and I'll be Batman.

Wait... I just realized. A research-based thinker power with divination aspects really might be completely game-breaking in the Parahumans universe. The divination part of it means I can just get information I really shouldn't normally be able to get, such as the locations of various villains' secret bases, or the real identities of any cape I want to "do research" into.

Plus, with it being research-based, it means I can slow it down to go at my own pace so I don't have the headaches draw-back. In fact, it pretty much eliminates all of the typical Thinker draw-backs. (Not as hard as Tailor's hive-mind eliminates the thinker draw-backs, since the method here is slowing down instead of recruiting more processing power, but it's very different information this would give me.)

Yeah, wow. This ability fits right into what I said earlier. It really doesn't sound like much, but if you really stop to think about it and picture it in context of the universe it's set in, this power is not just OP, it's completely game-breaking.

EDIT: Oh, no. It actually gets worse. With this power, I could "research" tinker-tech and figure out how to use the device or reproduce the effects. This means I'd turn into the worlds' 2nd Tinker 0 with this power. But actually, it would be a little more like a Tinker 0.5. So long as I can get ahold of the tech, I can properly utilize it, copy it, and potentially even integrate it with other Tinker tech.

Yeah... yeah... point more than proven. Thinker powers are the most Op powers in the Parahumans universe.

Who's gon' to be the joker then, Batman?
I want Stranger-Mover-Perceived as a vampiric duck power. Immortal waterfowl! :blob_paint:
Strange... You know Envy would like to be the first one to choose that. Are you sure she won't kick you out of that first seat?

I'm not a furry, BUUUUT, I've always want to be an animal shape-shifter like the dudes in twilight but with the exception that I could still talk.
It's not because I'm Native American or anything, it's just that the Singing Frog cartoon has been living rent free in my mind ever since I was a kid.

Like if I can turn into a dog, a cat, or a Tibetan sand fox, I would go up to other people, and when they approach me,
I'd look at them straight into their eyes and say, "Nobody's gonna ever believe you that this happened."
Or "You're gonna gaslight yourself into thinking that this never occurred."
Or "You've been sinning."
Or something creepy like, "Animals only talk to people if they have cancer." LOL
And from that moment on, they'll never trust any animal again.
They'll either go crazy, go vegan, or successfully gaslight themselves.

Not the way the Parahumans universe works, dude. Only the freaks and crazies and complete posers have an arch nemesis... which, come to think of it, actually that IS the way the Parahumans universe works. I just described literally 80% of all parahumans just there.

You know, you could've come up with a joke along with this explanatory.

Meh, what can I say? Most scientists are stone-cold anyway.

Shaker/Brute- Similiar to Bohu, slow moving, turns area around into traps and pitfalls from roots and branches. Longer time progresses, the more the roots spread. Roots can bind, can drop vines and immobilize/hinder movement , well branches deliver blows.

By the time we were done reading Worm and Ward, we had a very detailed 'sona developed for a possible selves-insert fanfic, or ridiculously OP TTRPG.

We're something very different, and would initially be classified as a Stranger, or set of Strangers with other powers. Or, eventually, a whole team or organization of such beings. And it would be very confusing and paranoia inducing to everyone else. Especially while they don't know whose side we're on.

But there's only ever one body present on Earth at any given time. It just seems to shapeshift to become another apparent parahuman with different powers. Sometimes even mimicking other people.

What we are, however, is a hyper-dimensional colonial entity from elsewhere, completely alien to Earth, capable of mimicking other life by creating new members of our collective that are modeled after subjects that we study. And to really get into how and why would spoil Worm and Ward, so we'll leave it up to the imaginations of other fans who've finished the stories. But what we do is, instead of shapeshifting, we swap out which one of us is present on Earth at any given time. Our powers work in a very similar way to parahumans.

We have figured out how to model this with some reasonable restrictions to powers in the Sentinels Comics RPG. So it's possible to not be OP about it. But we're daydreaming here!

And what we're doing is treating ourselves as individual people, and fulfilling each other's wish, but then adding this weird restriction where only one of us can interact with Earth at a time, and we have to tag-team it.

Part of the appeal of this 'sona (or set of 'sonas) is that while our presence could make for a very fun little side story, once the climactic battles of either Worm or Ward came into play, we'd probably flee, being out powered by the forces at play. So, while early in the story arcs we might seem OP, we wouldn't necessarily alter the history of the main stories.
