Novels that have a certain ‘energy’ or ‘feel’ that no (or few) others have

What are some novels you think are unique in some way, that warrant being checked out.

If it’s a novel you think is good, but doesn’t have a unique ‘feel’, then don’t post it.

(Doesn’t even have to be Scribble Hub)

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?, many may have read it, but I’d say it belongs here, I honestly would say it’s the definitive reincarnated as a monster story, I choose not to spoil it.

These ones feel unique to me

Super Minion (An escaped Bioweapon learning how to fit in a world of super heroes/villains in the middle of the most chaotic season)

The Perfect Run (I don't know why, but this one does feel different to me)

A Practical Guide to Evil (The world is linked to heroic/villanous/neutral alignments with powers that grow, and are restricted, by narrative concepts AND the characters in the story are aware)

Twig (This is a creepy biopunk dystopia from the same guy that wrote worm)

Delve (This one is a math diver story. Seriously, that writer does really love math)

And these on the graveyard of forever hiatused stories T.T

Daybreak on Hyperion (This one was a gender bender that was not happy go lucky)

Brimstone Fantasy (This one was a chuuni fest but the dungeons concept was different from the usual dungeon core one.)

Isekai’d Shoggoth
The overarching theme may not seem unique, but the flow of the story and it’s presentation is something else! Also my favorite story.

Senlin Ascends by Josiah Bancroft

Chapters are always opened with an excerpt from a book or a tourist guide from within the steampunk world of the story. It was a sneaky way of world-building without an info dump.

I too really like to try doing that in a book one day, seems fun.

Hi, I’m an author so I will say this (shameless self promotion):

Heir de Winter: it doesn’t follow you’re typical hierarchy power novel and it basically avoids anything remotely related to Harems, Sex scenes, and Isekais. The plot of the story is quite complex but everything slowly pieces together over the chapters. Even the smallest events may have the largest significance.

Honestly speaking?

Catch-22 by that Heller dude. Man's got a way with satirical comedy and contrasting jokes.

Omg I love brimstone. I commented on his last posted chapter every month and was subbed to his patreon. Well I guess I have to contribute since I've replied.

Release that Witch is going to be my contribution. https://www.novelupdates.com/series/release-that-witch/

Did someone say self promotion. Well, since the ice is broken on that one...

I have been told by several of my readers that my take on gods in my heaven sequence is very outside the norm, unique, and imagination capturing. That's the thing that the readers call unique about it. And here I thought the unique thing about it would be that I'm trying to do a real honest well put-together story on the theme of being reincarnated as a DC/Marvel styled superhero. Go figure that it's something on the periphery that gets people's attention.

(Well, I guess I'm not deep enough into it to have the main theme be the attention getter just yet. Maybe I'll be known for the thing I want to be known for in due time)

Anyway, it's no good to JUST self promote here, so I might as well get another author's work into this as well. Here's a really good one.

He gets reincarnated as a tree. True, this is out of that phase where it was the "in" thing to make stories with protagonists that reincarnate into inanimate or stationary objects or otherwise things that usually wouldn't be the thing you'd think would make for an MC in a story. The mere fact that this is about the only story from that fad period that didn't just survive but also thrived speaks volumes for it's quality on it's own. This is basically the one diamond in the rough from that strange period in very recent webnovel history. (what was that, a year ago now?)

Anyway, MC is reincarnated as a tree. Being a tree, he has a much longer life. In add in the ability to level up and a human mind that is a lot less passive than normal tree-spirits, and I think you know the power-leveling drill from there. It's just with the fact that the MC is completely stationary due to being a tree he has to operate more like a person playing a combination between a MOBA game and Civilization than your typical JRPG feel that most other liteRPGs have.

Hello, we just uploaded our new novel. Please visit our home page.

IN THIS LIFE I WILL BE HAPPY

Is it possible to predict what will happen in the next moment to change fate's course?

She is content with everything even if her father bears no love for her, nor her grandmother, who ought to love their grandchildren. For her, every day is as bright as summer, and the flowers blossom as though in spring.

It was only later in time that she realized she had been a coward.

In this life, she will no longer be timid.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is one of the most action-packed and unique korean novel that I have read.

Excitement was constant so it definitely had that energy

Hands down, my favorite cultivation based novel is Cultivation Chat Group. (It's not on Scribble)
It is an absolute piece of gold. No other cultivation novel I have seen is so comedic, easy to read, and lighthearted. It's quite a difference from the "They killed my family so I'll destroy their sect" trope we see a lot of.
That being said, the cultivation portion of the novel is well defined as well. In general, a top notch comedy story for anyone looking for a fun fantasy read.
