I need a list of shows that contain an episode revolving around a lost cat or animal close to the main cast. Episode numbers would also be good.

The reason being that I noticed that there are a lost of shows that use a lost animal (mainly cats) to have a growth point for a specific character or focus on an otherwise overlooked character. This can also be a chance for a character to show his good or bad character traits by finding, helping, or ignoring the lost animal. Either way, it's a trope that I love and hate for different reasons.

Could you give an example of this kind of trope? I think Naruto might have had this trope, but how does it normally play out in animes?

There are two types of lost cat/animal tropes

1. Animal is lost and a MC has been tasked with finding them. This usually tells a lot about the characters work ethic and moral personality.

2. The main casts mascot got lost, was kicked out, or went out to explore and follows around some of the lesser known characters for a slice of life story with possibly narration from the mascot. (These can be villains, comrades, or random character the main cast hasn't met.)

My brain misinterpreted the question and started trying to think of episodes "lost to time" or "lost episodes" like the "lost spongebob episode" idk why, but I found it very odd trying to think of episodes about cats that were cut from shows.

This one blurrs the lines, but A Whisker Away follows that trope, just if you look past the part where one is a human who changes between a cat and a human (while keeping both lives separate).

A cute manga and anime series about a kitten who wanders away from her mum and gets lost but a little boy finds her and his family adopts her. They live in a house that doesn't allow pets so they move to somewhere that does if I remember correctly.
