Is anyone else really tired of the massive amount of anti-lgbtq+ people involved in the anime community?

I know it's kind of a dumb question because, obviously, everyone with a working heart should accept people who are lgbtq+, and people who are against it are annoying. I just find it really frustrating when I'm reading/watching an adorable novel/manga/anime and scroll to the comments only to find it littered with homophobic and transphobic comments that serve only to hurt others. It's especially bad under yuri/yaoi stuff, and I don't get why these people don't just leave and go elsewhere instead of being d*cks for absolutely no reason. Sorry for ranting, just felt the need to put this out there.

You can and should report people for doing that shit, at least on SH.

However, I don't believe it's something that's isolated to the anime community. Things are progressing quickly, but you'll need to wait at least fifty years before bigots go the way of the dodo. That's just how human lifespans work.

I think you have a lot to define in this.
What do you mean by accept?

Do you mean they have to get rid of religious beliefs and proclaim everything lgbtq+ is good?
Do you mean they have to accept everything someone of that community says?

If by acceptance you mean, leave them alone and try not to make them feel bad then I accept that. No one should make others feel bad and we should all have the decency to keep our bad opinions of others to ourselves, but I really think you should define accept.

Although I agree that bad statements of any group are often best left unsaid.

I do love having my opinions called wrong, and I am a bigot if I disagree with anything. I also love being called multiple slurs for saying my opinions that correlate to both me and my ethnic family upon certain nations acts of stealing my family’s coastline.
