:ROFLMAO: Of course the smut lords are butthurt when I call them out.

I am kind of proud of my achievement that you feel so threatened in your integrity to merit this post.:blob_melt:
:sneaky: I mean, this thread took like 3 minutes to write. How long did it take you to write your attempt at jurisprudence? If anything, I see it as a response to my story trending.

It's weird seeing this thread in Author General. Moreover, it's a sarcastic thread.

None of those tags explicitly say 18+. You'd basically would be filtering out a non 18+ story with that set up. My story uses some of those tags and its not an 18+ smut novel.
Horror is always +18.
Smut is +18
Seinen and Josei are not PG-13
Tragedy is not PG-13, you might end up scaring a child who reads your novel.
Adult is always +18
Mature is not PG-13.
Ecchi is not PG-13.

You might argue that School Life and Romance are PG-13, and you might be right, but by filtering those two you make 100% sure that there is no issues.

BL and GL is mostly non PG-13 in nature, but you are right if you say that some of them are PG-13.

Remember, if your story has blood or bad words it automatically is no longer PG-13

This thread just seems so stupid. Read or don't read. Why do children have to pretend it's more complicated than that? Oh! They are adults? Wow....could've fooled me.

You aren't addressing my argument. Basically I'm saying by filtering these tags, you're making it harder for up and coming authors who want to write about these themes to gain attention. Also anyone using this 'think of the children' argument is foolish to believe a child would come to this website sitting in the corner of the internet. I doubt modern children read anyway and if they were to then it wouldn't be a book from here.

You mistake the freedom of thought and expression with the right to be heard. The former exists, the latter not. Even after a ban you are not limited in your freedom. You can still write, you just can't publish anymore.

No novel site of this world is forced to publish your work on the basis of freedom of thought and expression.
I has no idea what the right to be heard was before you mentioned it was but a 2 minutes search on google point out that the right to be heard basically give childrens the right to express their opinion end require adults to take them on consideration so it has nothing to do with this argument. Anyway even if a novel has a content that might trigger someone none is forcing anyone to read, I read novels because I might enjoy it and if I don't like the content or I think it's inappropriate I simply drop, reporting and trying to remove content mean you entitle yourself to decide that no one else can access said content based on your opinion and this limit the freedom of expression, so the removal of content shouldn't be a thing if you ask me

I've wanted to (really badly) get myself into writing, but I think I am too thin-skinned for these hecklers. I don't want to write for profit (I hate numbers being a driving force), I just wanted to write and enjoy... I could be happy with the illusion of an entertained audience listening to my stories. I've said this before: why should I bother to become an author if my effort is not respected? I might as well sleep and continue dreaming of my stories. At least I can imagine being appreciated for what I would've done instead of listening to people denounce whatever my story has been labelled with without having read a word of it.

I apologize for my rant. I'm going to settle down for a few hours and hope to return with a calm and cool head.

As soon as my fetus learns to walk, I plan on taking it for a weekly walk to our local library, just like my dad took me to our local library on bicycles.
I do want to limit screen time, though. Perhaps I'll let my kid read online as a reward for finishing all the library books we checked out before the next library trip.

I don't understand what good sheltering young people from this sort of content does in the first place. The more they know, the better they can react to ensure their own safety in a real-life situation.
There's a difference between telling kids about sex and having them read what this site has to offer. 'Babies are made this way' is a VERY different conversation to have than reading something like a slave harem story.

So? It's important for kids to start learning the emotional components to sex as well. Just like we'll explain to our kids that Harry Potter is a fantasy story and Dobby's enslavement is not OK, having examples to discuss helps.

Gender bender, smut, porn, futanari etc. These are what's most popular on scribble dibbles I believe, though if you're looking for a more serious audience then royal road fills that role.

But the problem there is that it's hard to get noticed on royal road and even when you do, the criticism can be crippling. Here on scribblehub, though you may get a small audience, they'll more often be supportive and optimistic.

Kids around here start being horny at a younger ages then we turn into sages as we grow up. Like 7-8 are the begining stages guys tend to be horny and stuff and when you reach like 17-18, you would already reach the peak sagehood even buddha can commend. Its basically like we can beat NNN as easy as pie once we grow older but we kinda don't question our stupidity, some make mistakes, some impregnates women at an early stage and NTR and adultury is quite common if you observe around here.

I don't know why people had to be butthurt about it? Didn't they learn porn at 8 years old or even younger once they got into the internet? I didn't even had to explain what porn is and they already learn that they had sex with their teachers.
Considered getting a rope?

What the actual fuck. No normal child is horny at the ages of 7/8, where the hell do you live?

Believe it or not, it is true. Horny isn't the best word to describe it. Perhaps curiosity and awakening of sexuality- that and the feeling of "Hory Sheyt whats this!!!!".

I myself in the past, elementary students, and my childhood friends were like this. It all depends on the environment, circumstances, influences, grown-ups around, and social groups. I must emphasize not all, but there are much more than you think and keep it secret. But I do notice that people aren't much open to sharing this because it's awkward as heck, the same as with masturbating. Boys tend to be more open and vulgar because that's what's 'cool and awesome', while girls tend to play the pretend game because it's shameful and may be frowned upon depending on the culture.
