I think I am doing a complete factory reset.

So, for this new fanfic I am writing, I just set a goal of 5k words per chapter. You know, for fun. And it is sort of working. The chapter could become longer than that, but the story is meant for AO3, and the crowd there wants long chapters anyway. It is 9 p.m right now, and I was just 3k words in. And then I figured, well, I can finish the chapter tomorrow, right?

And I modified the goal, gave myself another day, and left the chapter for tomorrow.

That was what I used to do, back when I stared to write. I typed so slowly back then, that anything else was just unthinkable.

And, you know what? I feel great going back to my writing roots! =)

I do that too, I'll write a couple pages and write a couple more pages another day when I have something to add that seems interesting.

Yeah, after finishing two books on WebNovel I stopped the chapter grind so I can produce some quality work.

My best ideas now come from watching shows, reading books, or just sitting at work. I ponder for a bit, then I'm ready to write.
