American East coast pufferfish is non-toxic and has a similar flavor and texture. You could try that. They are also known by the name, "blow-toad."

So yeah go to a certified restaurant if you need to, but dont get high hopes.
Bunch of people testified its "not that extraordinary".
And usually in certified restaurant, they ask you to "STAY XX minutes" after eating = this way, both for your and THEY safety, will be safe by receiving rescue fast (ambulance).

ps : its just to make sure. Like helmet wearing. Not that they flop often. But who knows if there is the 0.01% they do it wrongly (or wrongly accused for it). Also the poison isnt instant death and can be rescued. Its not like a certain pesticide (-forgot the name - i heard in a CN mentioned once, that was consequently banned long ago) that if you drink JUST A SPOON of it, you will certified countdown to death despite no symptoms and even if going to hospital. With anecdotes of parents crying heartbreakingly but the "kid" bc of daring bet drank it but feel totally fine.

Pretty sure pufferfish is overrated. It's expensive because it's a novelty with it being loaded with neurotoxins and shit. But hey if you want to waste money I won't stop you. Just know there are better restaurants you can use that money on.
