Really ? I'm happy if that's the case !There's just something basically charming about the characters, especially Cyrielle.
Yes, I did get some inspiration from her !Weird factoid - just saw a description of the actress Maila Nurmi from 1954 (the year she became better known as Vampira, the first television horror movie hostess) that sounded a good deal like the first description we get of Cyrielle.
Thanks ♥Congratulations!
Hmm - wonder if that's why between the two contemporaries, both beautiful women by any standard, Brigitte Bardot is generally considered the better-looking woman by most Americans (including my father), but many Europeans (and myself) considered Catherine Deneuve, far more beautiful; Bardot looks more like the "American standard" while Deneuve has a kind of squarish face and unusual but, well, elegant features.Yes, I did get some inspiration from her !
In fact, in France our standard of beauty are different from USA, for exemple (from what I have read). French people put the emphasis on 'highlighting your natural features and make it work with your body', as opposed to fitting to a standard. For exemple, the most beautiful women of France always have a little quirk :
Vanessa Paradis, and her teeth :

Bérénice Bejo, and her eyelids :

Marlène Jobert, and her freckles :

Plastic surgery isn't a thing, because everything that is too visible is not esthetically pleasing. The summum of beauty and elegance is to learn how to find value in your differences, and to accept aging and make it part of your aesthetic. So Cyrielle, with her tall body full of big bones and her square jaw, could a 100% be considered as beautiful, if she knows how to highlight those things about her, and make it her difference. That's why I never once called her masculine or ugly in the story, I don't see her that way.
Thanks ♥
I agree with you, I find Catherine more charming because she has that distinctive feature that draws your eyes to her faceHmm - wonder if that's why between the two contemporaries, both beautiful women by any standard, Brigitte Bardot is generally considered the better-looking woman by most Americans (including my father), but many Europeans (and myself) considered Catherine Deneuve, far more beautiful; Bardot looks more like the "American standard" while Deneuve has a kind of squarish face and unusual but, well, elegant features.
