How do you write an enjoyable love story between someone and their airbags?

It had been bugging me for the longest time.

From my own ideas, I think it started from a life-threatening traffic accident and the man was saved by an airbag. At that point, he became obsessed with airbags of different sizes and shapes and began to customize his car with it. On his free days he would drive into a park with tinted windows and rest his head on the airbag, and etc.

It probably could turn into a girl or just a sentient creature and they'd end up going to a love hotel.

So it's basically an airbag harem story.

Though I wasn't really into cars and too bored to even research about it. Probably since both the man and airbag aren't girls or futanari.

How do you guys make an enjoyable story out of this idea?

His airbag requires sacrifice, in which he has to face multiple severe head trauma through intentional road accidents to get his airbag out to meet him.

Over time he becomes an international criminal known as the Child Bumper, and he goes around the globe with a thousand arrest warrants for him, crashing ever known car imaginable to convey his love for airbags.

Will he die from a crash first, or will he fulfill his destiny?

First, you need to add something to spark an interest. While having new ideas seem to work and creating that spark, it only comes to how you plan on making that spark. Considering I write multiple types of story, you should try out to experiment on novel ideas that could go from 'Oh, thats nice' to 'WTF dude'.

Now, the next step would be to how will you based that character on, would it be to a parental type or the lover type. Since its an airbag, you could go to parental type to which it would be like being caressed and cared to a mother. Since if you go to a lover type, it might seem good but it won't gain as much due to being almost overused.
