How do you maintain a good schedule?

Big fan of not publishing until the work is finished. Then you have all your chapters scheduled to update consistently. Granted that's what worked for me on Ao3, and the chapter/story lengths here are different.

When I was writing stuff and posting at the same time, I found having a 16-18 week buffer worked the best for me.
