But seriously it could be cool exactly because of the conflict, hell, in the Disney version of the princess and the frog both the male and female lead both become gross frogs, the movie would much less funny if it was just the guy.

Err... do side characters count? I made my main cast of 4 all reincarnators who had all 4 possible previous live - present life gender combinations.

The MC is the male-to-female of the story, because that's just the more tried and true path. Her twin sister is the female-to-female. And then, there are 2 boys. One of those two boys was previously female before reincarnation.

(I'll also mention, the MC and her sister are elves, and I based this world's elf-lore off of the original Germanic elf lore in which elves had a pension for kidnapping young children. So, I adapted this into my story by saying it's an elven tradition to literally kidnap humans as pets to give to their children. The two reincarnator boys are the human pets to the MC and her sister.)
