I'm actually willing to give a contemporary techno thriller with no-shill frills a go if it's published here on SH. Especially if it's able to channel some Micheal Crichton's vibes, or failing that, something in the vein of Matthew Reilly, Clive Cussler, or Dan Brown. That'll be a breath of fresh air.

If it's alternative world a la Ace Combat, sure, still will give it a whirl, but it better have realistic geopolitics and/or macro-social dynamics.
