I personally like the trope but I've not encountered any stories where the MC has that kind of vibe but it's not unusual for a side character to have that design; I dunno why but it's something to think about.

I like this trope but it's pretty rare to see, especially in an MC. Pretty hard to capture that vibe of pure badassery the moment they fully open their eyes.

Because most of the times, such characters are scheming bastards, smug snakes and/ or potential Hisoka.

Hard to draw in readers, unless they are seeking such fetish.

Man, I had no idea there was an actual trope name for such characters.

You are right in saying that stories with characters that have such traits being written as main characters of a story are pretty rare.

I also do not mind reading about such characters as long as they are interesting enough.

I can think of two off the top of my head. The MC in I'm a spider so what can see with her eyes closed (Eventually) Also, I think the MC in serenity after the end can do that as well because of some kind of seer class.
