Here are the rules for this game: starting on page one of whatever story you're currently writing, copy the first sentence on that page and paste it here. Then go to the next page and copy the first sentence there too. Keep doing that until you have at least a paragraph's worth of sentences. Let's see what kind of subliminal messages we're trying to worm into people's brains!

Here's mine:
It was time to get up.
“How have you been?” the other townsperson, a woman this time, asked.
He wasn’t actually afraid, just like he didn’t truly feel any of the emotions he displayed. The goliath rat shuddered as it let out a weak gurgle, and then collapsed onto the street. Jeremy just stood where she had left him, the bag of coins clutched in his hand, and stared silently at the spot where she had just been. It wasn’t fair. She fixed her eyes on her destination and pulled the silver dagger, Eagle Feather, out of her inventory with a blue flash.
“How should I know?” Miranda answered flippantly, turning away.
She knew Derrick was right.
“Wakey wakey, Mistakes!” Derrick called.
Makolo cut her off, shouting irritably in the impish language. What the flame is this amateur doing out here? BUT BEWARE, BECAUSE THE WEAK WILLED MIGHT FIND THEMSELVES HELPLESS IN THE FACE OF DANGER IF THEY CAN NOT IMPOSE PROPER CONTROL OVER THEIR IMP. Instead, she was more than a hundred miles away from home, about to charge headfirst into one of the most dangerous dungeons that Miranda, an experienced Hero, had ever attempted.
“Shut up, Miranda.”
