Filtering the Novels in the Latest Updates Based on Preferences.

I've noticed that SH readers tend to read what they like rather than what novels have good content. So they tend to look at genre first to choose what they'll read. Therefore, I suggest SH provide a feature to filter the latest update visibility based on preferences.

SH members can set this in their respective accounts. They can set which genres will be displayed in the latest updates by entering a list of preferred and disliked genres.

This way, readers/ members will only see novels they like in the latest updates. If members don't set genre preferences, the system can default to displaying all genres in the latest updates.

I recall several other platforms already implementing this feature. Even Google provides preference settings in its user ads. Essentially, the preference setting feature makes users more comfortable and can generate more revenue through advertising if managed well.

But here, I want to focus on the SH member preference feature in the latest updates. This way, SH members will be more comfortable reading novels and have a better chance of finding novels they might like in the latest update list. Authors will also benefit because their novels will be more easily discovered by readers who match their market in the latest update.

This already exists.

It can also be found under the user dropdown menu in the top bar.

Wow... that's great. Sorry, I thought this feature didn't exist yet because I couldn't find this setting in my account settings. It turns out it's in another section. Thank you for providing this great feature. Best regards.
