Apparently, there's a bunch of people that unironically love this faction. And somehow believe that they'd be good for Mojave...?

And they hate the NCR because *checks notes* taxes? Forget the safety, rights, voting, being against slavery. The tiny amount of taxes is the issue.

And Caesar himself says that the legion will never outlast him, so why should he ever prevail?

Like I understand the argument for House, but never the legion.

Any Caesar glazers here?

Courier ending allied to brotherhood of steel and boomers is best.
House ending second.
NPC ending third.
Fuck the legion for everything they stand for and what they did to Nipton.

The Legion are just Roman Empire wannabe LARPers with guns and no real knowledge of the Roman Empire.
Also if taxes are the problem, how do they think Caesar is paying the soldiers? You have to get the cash somewhere, and there is only so far plunder will get you.

Having played every ending, I'd say that the NCR is more familiar to us because their organization and structure are just like today, a hidden dictatorship.
House is a Vegas dictator.
Caesar is an Arizonian dictator.

I prefer the independent ending where the Courier because the sole leader of Vegas.
If anyone has to be a dictator, I'd rather it be me.

But to answer your question, I prefer Caesar over NCR, at the very least he's not a hypocrite.

The NCR is the most corrupt faction in the game. Everywhere you go in the Mojave, you see people suffering under their rule for barely livable wages (see the sharecropper farms), so the people of Nevada are almost slaves; they are definitely treated as second-class citizens compared to those in California (so much for being against slavery and having rights); hell, the NCR does nothing about the gangs on the strip literally having slaves. They failed to deal with the powder gangers or the deathclaws in Quarry Junction (so much for safety), and the people being ruled in Nevada did not get the chance to vote in the elections.

The least bad option for the future of Nevada is the meritocratic technocrat known as Mr. House, and even he's not perfect. The least bad option for the player is the Yes Man route.

And Caesar himself says that the legion will never outlast him
In the game, he knows that Legate Lanius and Vulpes Inculta would make terrible successors due to their psychopathic nature, which is why Caesar wanted the player to be the next leader if you go that route.

Certified Mr. House glazer here. His only flaws were tolerating the gangs on the strip (one of those gangs was cannibalistic), and even they'd be on their way out once you gave him the chip and he got his robot army.

EDIT: Keep in mind that the NCR was willing to work with awful corporations like the Crimson Caravan and the Silver Rush Trading Co.
