Because yeah, that's how I feel about mine... I have no idea if they would go to therapy or not if they had a chance. It's just not the kind of thing I thought much about for them.

Especially for a child MC I'm working on... She wouldn't really know how to react to the idea at all. She would surely go if ordered to, but otherwise, I dunno if she would even be able to make a decision. She would probably ask somebody else to decide for her.

... Though I can't even imagine a situation where she'd be given a choice on the matter. If she was told about the existence of therapy, it would be because somebody ordered her to go to a therapist.

I remember when DC comics tried therapy with their characters. People got murdered and a conspiracy took place which led up to a crisis event.

So no, therapy might lead to reality altering shenanigans.

Does Aise need therapy? Without question. Dude was captured, tortured, and eventually escaped. on the journey to rescue his mom, he's joined by his futa-father who was nearly killed for her earlier antics as a privateer (disavowed by the kingdom and labeled pirate). along the way, he finds that his best friend and his best friend's little sister are in love with him. He also winds up starting a harem (free love world, so no one is labeled gay/straight/bi, etc. just who you love, and if it's consensual and not incestuous, then do whatever). when he finally manages to rescue his mother, he finds that she was tortured. he goes berserk and very carefully dismantles the fort, brick by individual brick. Kidding. he rampages and shreds it like a sand castle, very nearly killing everyone he cares about in the process (an affliction that plagues dragons in my world. extreme emotional turmoil will cause a rage that blinds them, simply forcing them to cause damage and destruction. most commonly triggered if the person they love is killed, but can be triggered by other events as well.)
