I'm new around here, so there may just be things I don't understand about the site. But, well, I occasionally get notifications about comments on my stories (got 3 today, for example), and when I go looking for them, there are no comments. And the user profile for the user says it doesn't exist. I'm like 99,99% sure this just means they were spam comments removed automatically, but just on the off chance that that wasn't the case, is there some cryptic way of displaying comments that I haven't understood?

That's the immune system fighting off an infection; bots and scammers. :blobspearpeek:

They're bot comments, unfortunately :( They hit my story too. It sucks because I get excited to read someone's comment but its just a bot....

same here. I know, new author you kind of jump up and down, all excited... its just a art scammer. They'll tell you their canned line of purple praise bullshit and ask to discuss your upcoming comic book deal they want to illustrate. Don't fall for it. What's funny is that they were using the *same* canned lines on moonquill as they use here (i'm on both). Not long ago, your book was "cinematic" the way you made them "see the vision of the scenes". Now its another line, but its all the same crap. Best you can hope for is they leave you five stars. Its worthless to have a single 5 star rating, but hey, when you're a noob like me? It looks good and makes me happy. Like my spiderman sticker when I was little on my lunchbox.
