I'm working on a cover for a series I'm thinking of starting, but only have a rough sketch so far, dealing with the fact that the past several years of fashion school have kind of ruined my ability to really draw any figure other than fashion croquis. I'm kind of wondering if I should try and do the final piece in watercolor, or pen and ink.

I guess posting past works might help.

As much as I like uniforms, the characters Cavalry uniform will be rather, well, uniform. I guess my main issue is that I don't actually have much experience drawing in a more manga-ish style.
And I guess I quick sketch of the character in the kepi she actually would be likely wearing in the setting, rather than the more flashy stetson. Ignoring the fantasy aspects I'll have in the story, it should be a pretty straight-forward historical fiction about a girl disguising herself and joining the cavalry.
