Since we are dragons, we've been studying our own history since around 1984.

If anybody would like a hypeshare/infodump about what dragons are, literarily, and how we've evolved over time, we've got a pretty lengthy one that can get you into a deep dive into the mythological origins and lore from around the world.

Most books, even Dragonology, fall pretty short and only give hints at the broader picture here and there, but defining dragons by number of limbs or taxonomic clade is not going to get you anywhere useful.

He's not actually a dragon, but in-universe everyone thinks he's a dragon because they don't know what an actual dragon looks like.
It's Mighty Mutant Ninja Turtle!

Mighty Mutant Ninja Turtle!

Mighty Mutant Ninja Turtle!

(Not teenage, because that would be underage mutant teenage turtle and it matters in New York)
