I see so much potential in stories with reasonable explanations for certain anime tropes or as plot points - like the evil glasses-wearing, constantly smiling man or the weak female character - but instead they are just used to create a cast of 2-D characters that make zero sense. When these are used correctly though, it sets the story apart as exceptional, unique, and highly enjoyable.
So, my writing prompt is choose a random anime trope, preferably one that hasn't already been done in the thread (though if you think you can do faaar better, then go ahead! Crush them!), and make a character with that in mind. Base their appearance on the trope to the point of ridiculousness, and then flesh out their character reasonably. Maybe give them a Whimsy? I'm sure you guys will be able to kick this out of the park!
The yandere trope as a well-done character: Originally the friend of a girl named Aurum, Amans is autistic to a certain degree and unable to understand relationships as a result due to the consequences of using her Whimsy (a power system I am currently creating). As a result, she has an obsessive nature, but otherwise acts incredibly normal and is one of the best friends of Aurum (the real MC). Her Whimsy is Silver Lining: cybernetic enhancements grow throughout her body, increasing her speed and strength as her ability grows stronger and increases the amount of cybernetic enhancements. To increase the speed of her brain, her cybernetic enhancements cut straight through the parts of the brain involved with love. Hidden condition which increases her ability's strength (and thus yandere-ness): touching the love of her life. As a result, the more she invests herself in the love of her life, the more her brain deteriorates in a messed-up form of Alzheimer's. Appearance: light pink, short (curly, stereotypically male, anime-style) hair. Initially red eyes slowly turn multiple shades of pink as this story goes on. Steel circuits initially are very simple. It is limited to some superficial decoration around her eyes, a couple circuits along her body, and a few trailing along her limbs. Aurum tries searching for a cure for her best friend, who has changed in personality and is slowly becoming more and more deranged, having to deal with Amans' occasional murder attempts as well.

Yes ig these anime tropes could be good, but they've been so overused at this point and done so horribly most of the time that even if the author does a good job it will still usually come off as dull and unoriginal imo unfortunately

Are we talking about something Well Done or a Well Done? Well, I couldn't really tell the difference between well and well very well?

The tsundere tropes are one of my favorites, but I also hated them, especially the violent ones. This one would have a very bad temper, easily triggered. She never owned her mistakes and never wanted to lose, a touch of narcissism. This is due to the fact that she is the only daughter in a rich family, so she gets a lot of attention. I'd add that her brothers hated her. In short, a hateful character, even for the readers.

To counteract her bad behavior, we'll have her romantic person have the same flaws as her, a battle of two narcissists, kind of like Kaguya-sama, but an actual rivalry. He's the only male sibling and he hates her sisters because he gets so many expectations and they don't. Their parents had to work hard to make their lives comfortable and he knows it. This makes their bickering and violent tendencies make sense, even if it was presented as cute or funny. But it is also important that, despite their shared flaws, they have an individuality that sets them apart and not be a carbon copy of each other.

I think this has 3 types of Yandere in one chara: harmless, obsession, removal.

Amans is also friendzoned too considering he's only the best friend.
