All authors who use systems in their stories are creatively bankrupt.

I assume when you say "system" you mean the generic isekai game-like prompts that exists without explanation for what its doing there?
I first read this to mean (custom magic system made by hand), not sure which of the two you mean.

I wish more system books would include hacking others' systems and complaining it failed and crashed. Or when a new skill gets acquired, it fails compiling and you need to reach tech support, some indian guy who scams you out of skill points.

One day I may write a system parody novel.
The closest I can think with a System thingy is [The Lord's Coins aren't Decreasing].
It's not really a system but more of like an interface for Interdimensional Markets. But all they do is scam each other's coins, manipulate the a product's stocks by showing fake ads, or typical union movement (e.g. blacklisting). Granted it's not really the main point of the novel but I don't really follow the story to confirm this.

Me mind to me consciousness: "WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!"
One little fella: Writes a story with a system that is interesting and actually feels natural

System trope is a shortcut. Shortcuts save time in building a scaffolding of ethos and logos. But as with any shortcuts, sometimes when doing a shortcut actually doesn't shorten the emotional connection between the author and the reader. That's when the system turns from a ordinary trope to the creatively bankrupt one, as the author doesn't realize the weight of this trope and actually hurts the story. So, yes, the system trope is creatively bankrupt when author uses it as a crutch for building ethos and logos, which burnt out reader rejects as the authorial intent, making the author fumble his persuasion.
Can you explain this in English for retards?

System like big stick. Easy tool. Hit problem, problem go away fast. But if stick weak, break easy, no good. Author use system to make story strong, but no try hard. Reader see weak stick, say, “This bad. Me no like.” Trust gone. Story fall in fire. Bad story. Bad author. Grug sad.

What if I want to create a system that lies, cheats, decieves, and undermines its users? What if it provides power but makes them puppets in the process? What if I want to utilize the concept of a system that gives its users curses and disabilities? What if the system peers into psyches and exploits their inner weaknesses for control? What if I don't want my protagonist to be immediately overpowered? What if the problems refuse to go away and keep getting worse? What if my protagonist gets abused, pushed around, beaten, killed, revived, dismembered, seperated from any comfort, and put in situations where options and even agency are limited? What if a character's origin world problems mocked them mercilessly in the new world? What if the strongest people behaved like idiots and the system gave them every chance to do so? What if the system mercilessly punished any hint of disobediance to its whims? What if I want to do something like that? What if every nightmare mode dificulty dungeon I've ever read has been easy mode in disguise and I just wanted to initiate an actual nightmare mode system for once?

Insults and bullying are not arguments. Everything has been done before a million times or more. You can say that about any genre, theme, or idea, especially in this internet age where everybody can be published. I'll agree on a million things being overdone but I'm not going to trash entire methods and genres, even one I don't like, because many are poorly done. Your welcome to use your time as please, but don't call other writers trash or creatively bankrupt because of simply what they decide they want to write.

It's not an insult, it's not a bullying, it was a joke. Maybe agressive, but a joke nonetheless. I don't plan to have serious converastions about writing because they are useless. Forget about changing opinion, I won't be able to even make anyone think. So all those threads I do about systems, fanfics, and so on are nothing but a joke. That's why they are in general chat.

Hmm, and what if the antagonist also has access to a system? The exact same system?

I did think of a way the system can make sense, including using isekai and Demon Lords
Heroes are summoned and get system to fight Demon Lord/dimensional breech to reality warping power source.
System was made by Gods to save people. Works not by stopping them from being warped, but rather by controlling it.
People have level caps that represent how much they can be changed. Leveling up allows for them to adjust to being changed.
Nobles and Hero bloodlines have higher level caps. This is caused by the new blood of the summoned heroes being breed into the nobles with occasional offspring among lower classed (who are married into nobility latter)
Heroes have very high level caps.

Or if the creator gods were major manga geeks from another world who got godhood. Both can work.

Unless the story is about someone who is trapped in a video game (like Tron or SAO) there is no need to have a system
