I recently ran a text message through an AI Gen Z slang translator. It returned the expected slang terms but

When I needed french words and phrases for a project, I used "english to french" online translator.
When OP needed "young kid slang" he used... bum bum bum... "english to GenZ slang" online translator.

I don't speak french and OP doesn't speak "young kid"

I knew I was posting this question on one of the most vehemently anti AI populated forums there is. I was just wondering what the opinion of AI would be when it didn't directly affect literature. I really never intended to kick the Hornet's nest. But now that the stingers are out, I think I'm gonna head for the hills. Thanks for the feedback.

there's a part of me that wonders what a random paragraph of my writing would be turned into, using that translator.
then another part of me sees two characters in my book making jokes about doing it.
it is like a foreign language sometimes.

That is true. And upon reading his last response, after not checking back for a while, I realized that's the weirdo I had an argument in another thread with the other day. Not that I care, but what in the pussified retreat is that supposed to be? Nobody was even mean to him.

great argument for why spellcheck should never be used. it's literally the same thing as asking an ai to babysit your writing lol

Could be true. I'm normally not so fast in passing judgement on that, but mainly because I know people like that and have known them for long enough to know that they are, in fact, real. So, yeah, dumbassness is a thing, it doesn't have to be a bot. Just a loofah with legs, perchance.
