    Can You Write Deaths Right?

Please don't swap around the definition of a logical fallacy in order to make it sound authoritative. That is very rude. I did not use an appeal to authority; I used a request for qualifications, which is NOT a logical fallacy. So, just in case you need that definition outlined, Appeal to...

    Looking for honest story reviews.

The chair guy is in book 2, but I haven't divided it up that neatly yet. Chair guy also has like.. a hundred and fifty chapters that are not published yet. trying to space them out well. Oh, at any price is also in book 2, but again, I haven't chopped it up that neatly yet. Mostly missing...

Whichever catches your fancy. Well, except the amazon one, that's more of an ad :)

    Can You Write Deaths Right?

*shrug* just trying to figure out what exactly qualifies you to give advice to writers.

    Can You Write Deaths Right?

Every death, and every author style of writing them, is different... the best thing you can hope for is that your test readers are okay with it.

Who is the character you like the most and who is the character you hate the most in your novel?

Tell me you are from the UK without telling me you are from the UK.

Should names be in its language or translated?

If you aren't writing it in Chinese, ditch the Chinese names. Their naming conventions are 'charming' only to autists.

Personally, how do you like to use prologues?

If the writer is good, the prologue is good and important (saberhagen) If the writer is bad, the prologue sucks (most scifi and fantasy writers today) I would avoid prologues until you have proven you are a popular writer, and have the right instincts to pull one off well.

    For new authors

Umm, take the time to polish the rough draft yourself? Like people have been doing for all of recorded history?

Which type of antagonist do you prefer: the moral antagonist or the villain antagonist?

The initial post felt very much like hoping for a binary response to a trinary question. I consider a good antagonist to be too complex to drop easily into a moral or immoral box, mostly because I am a human, and most of us are too complex to drop easily into either box. A simplistic antagonist...

Which type of antagonist do you prefer: the moral antagonist or the villain antagonist?

What if the antagonist is neither moral nor villainous? like the government, monsters, natural hazards, or an unlikely force of nature?

    A collaborative editor

I am occasionally kind of a d**k in certain threads, but I gotta admit, Pancaket**s has me beat hollow.

    Looking for honest story reviews.

I would be happy to swap if any traditional scifi/superhero/fantasy stories. Fair warning, I am a straight (married) male, so I probably won't have the greatest review if you ask me to read something packed with nontraditional sexuality. Mostly I find those stories boring.

[CLOSED] No one wants to review your story? Here I am!

Dang, I write heroes. Can't ask you for reviews if it's not to your taste.

    Is addressing the reader bad?

It totally depends on how you play it. I mean, look at Deadpool. But not too closely, or he will try to show you something you don't want to see.

    A collaborative editor

Like this person says. Editing is HARD work, especially for story flow. You'd be best served by asking for a collaboration, or if you offer your OWN services as editor for their works in exchange for their services. Or you can ask an AI to do it, but expect to spend at least several months...

Who is the character you like the most and who is the character you hate the most in your novel?

heh. I used to play champions, but after ten years, I finally admitted that all we ever did was argue over the rules and trash-talk each other :) But it is still a magnificent way to get used to creating adventures for writing. I thoroughly recommend it. ESPECIALLY for creating characters you...

What little details irks you when reading?

that, and the concept is an absolutely ridiculous trope. 'hate so sharp it can kill' is dramatic baloney, like a ton of stupid wuxia tropes. Then again, most fantasy has stupid tropes, like dragons and gold.
