    I'm losing hope

My serial doesn't have OP characters from the start, no LitRPG numbers going "Brrrr!" and no smut. I might be doomed, but hope is the last thing ever lost :')

I have a story I want to write, judge it by title.

My guess would be: Romantic comedy slice-of-life set in a High Fantasy setting!

P3reload: Ok, this is not good

Never played the original, but so far I've been enjoying this game a lot. My first Persona game was P5, and then I played P4G, so this is my first time experiencing the core of P3. It feels more streamlined than the other two and the combat side of things has never felt better. The color...

    My Introduction to Alan Moore

Ah, Alan Moore. To me he's the perfect example of when to separate the author from his work. Questionable personal ideologies that he might have, his work is good. Man, it's better than good! Read Watchmen and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen some years back, and coincidentally I'm halfway...

    Backwards progress in fantasy

I would say that it's a trope rooted in history; much like the Fall of the Roman Empire and the subsequent Dark Ages. Here is an excerpt of a 8th century poem by an unknown Old English author, suitably titled "The Ruin": This masonry is wondrous; fates broke it courtyard pavements were smashed...

Writing When is it too much or too little words?

I'll agree with most here and say that 2k-3k is the sweet spot. Release schedule should also be taken into account—I wouldn't find it unusual to see 1.5k word chapters for a story posting five times a week, or 5k chapters for a story posting once or twice a week.

is it still possible to be author?

I recommend reading the short story titled "The Library of Babel", by Jorge Luis Borges. Its basic premise is that there is an infinite number of story configurations in our Universe. Stories aren't a limited resource; as long as there are stories to be told, new authors will continue to heed...

You should say that to my arch-nemesis, Fantastic Mr. Fox. Could never pull off yellow corduroy like he does. Being voiced by George Clooney doesn't help either. ?

    Writing doesn’t bring joy anymore

Worthwhile endeavors require hard work and effort. Writing a story is one such worthwhile endeavor; these spells of inspiration are rewards that must be wrested from the Muses, like MatchaChocolate69 mentioned. You have to climb the mountain in order to enjoy the view. At the end of the day...

What other novels were you inspired by for your current WIP(s)?

Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Hellboy, Jujutsu Kaisen, Neverwhere and American Gods. Been working on my WIP for so long that I can't believe that I'll finally post the first chapter on the 14th! ?

    About the influx of translations.

Translation is its own art form, just as Fiction, Poetry and Essays are. There's no reason whatsoever they should be banned as long as they're doing it with the original creator's consent and without claiming authorship.

What kind of fantasy battles are the most interesting to you?

For battles in general, not just Fantasy, I'd say what makes them stand out is the set piece where it unfolds, making the combatants adapt in unique ways.

What Do You Think Makes A Bad Author?

Other than the actual technical aspect of writing, a bad author is someone who is always on the defensive about their work; they're thus unwilling to see their creations objectively and cannot differentiate between constructive and shallow critiques. You can't improve if you don't see room for...

I need more knowledge about urban legends.

American Supernatural Tales by S. T. Joshi and Jan Harold Brunvard's collections on urban legends should satisfy your research needs.
