In my opinion, writing fanfiction is harder than writing an original novel. You must research the world, how they work and where they are headed. If there is a plot hole in your fanfiction, then it's over.

I mostly post my novel every day. I always get 10-25 new readers when I did that. There was a time when I paused for 2 days, and the readers dropped considerably. So for me, I think it's best if you can write everyday. I got 780 Readers in just 1 month.

From my experience, I never experienced views going down when my series got into trending. There is a time it went down, but it was because I didn't update my series that day. If you got into trending, try to update 1 chapter, that way the new reader will know that your novel just got updated...

I don't think so, the base reader of my fic and novel is different. From what I saw in the stats, most of my readers came from the Second Tempest link or novelupdates ad, not from my profile.
