I don't know, I never had that. Sure, some chapters are less intense because there is no fight or something, but I use them to build the world. I somehow always find the will to write what's next because one way or another it's always interesting for me.

This is kinda sad. There are a tons of excellent, well written, character driven stories out there that will never get the popularity it deserves because most people will read the same exact story about an anime girl with huge boobs over and over again, with different names and settings. Even...

On another page, a big one at that, someone called my story "one of the best ones on here". Now I know for a fact that there is huge, huge place for improvement for me and the story, but oh boy, the rush you got when someone actually loves what you write... Amazing.

Slings and slingshots. Ever since that business with David and Goliath in that really old fantasy book I haven't seen slings and that book isn't even medieval themed. How is a weapon that could kill a damn giant with one shot isn't more popular?

Then maybe you should consider lengthen them a little? Sometimes I feel even 1000 words are quite short as a chapter.

I have two stories, one of them unpublished as of yet, the other you can read here. Now that latter one has longer chapters, min 2000 words, but often longer than 3000. In the other one I try to write shorter chapters, around 1000 words, intentionally, so it won't be too "wordy" and slow burner.
