Yes. I hate hard dirt, why? Because it is really hard to dig in. I prefer dirt that allows my shovel to slide into and lift it out easily. So wet dirt with loam. But personal and I do not have to dig, clay. It has very small dirt particles, which allows for it to keeps its form wet.
