No, the protagonist is a 'Game Master' with the ability to influence happenings in the world, but he is completely unaware of this fact. Much like a Game Master for a D&D game would be able to control a world.

Yep, the comments were so generic, and claiming they found emotion in my writing. Thing is my writing is not going to evoke strong emotions in people, it isn't the intent with what I've written so far. I've left the comments on my chapter, because at least it looks like engagement, lol.
