    My Art Thread

I decided to create this thread in hopes of improving my art whenever I get writer's block. To start, here's a quick rough sketch of Silent Control.

Anyone tried text colors? What's the reception?

I'll just answer every question in the order you asked: People here have varied opinions on colored text. Personally, I don't mind it as a reader. (same answer as 1) Some of the darker colors will be a little harder to see, but nothing too drastic.

Have you made SHIP ART with your OWN CHARACTERS?!?!?!?

I mean, who hasn't? For the record they're "just friends..." I haven't been drawing lately though since I'm trying to get better before I draw another cover.

    Dropped stories and vanishing authors.

I've considered quitting so many times, but I never actually do it. My tip for writers who aren't gaining traction is to have some self-pride. You had the guts to present work at the risk of judgment and ridicule. Be your own fan (also create alts to pad your stats and only check them once a week).

    The walking dead recommendations

That episode is definitely in the top 5 in all three seasons of What If. My personal favorite was the one with Mysterio, Killmonger's one is second, Zombies is third. But it wasn’t much of a competition. I made a point to watch Marvel Zombies on an empty stomach because I expected lots of...

Recommendations Looking for novels that are written in non English but then author translates it to English.

I doubt anyone self-translates simply because all writing is intrinsically tied to language. It'd difficult for a writer to write a whole book AND replicate all its lingual nuances in their second language. On an unrelated note, my Latin has gotten worse lately.

    Patreon + Part Time Job?

If you want my advice, plan for the worst and start job-hunting now. Definitely monetize your writing, but only as a side hustle. The ratio of profit and effort for a full-time content creator is awful. It would bring you to burnout even faster than your current job. If your current financial...

First-Time Author Looking for Honest Feedback ?

One, please add a link for convenience. Two, I'll check it out. EDIT: Three, I think you pasted your story wrong. Most of the text hangs off the edge. It's practically unreadable on mobile. If you clean that up, I'll have another look.

Do you think your story measures up?

Hear, hear!! Hate, kindness, strength, and love shouldn't be limited by gender, especially in fiction. Let a soft man have pride in his masculinity. Let tough girls have a girly side. It's the 21st century, for crying out loud!

What does healthy growth look like?

You're lucky. I've been writing for most of this year and have yet to break through, same goes for my drawing. I don't know what healthy growth is like. I also advise you to avoid checking your stats every two minutes and getting depressed like I do. I'll probably quit both altogether once I...

What motives do you prefer in the battle between the protagonist and antagonist?

My top three are pure hatred, manipulation, and domination in that order. Although, I liked all your options. They say revenge is best served cold, but it's so much more satisfying when slow-cooked.
